Betting Ages is an independent information site about how gambling is regulated — the minimum ages, the licensing rules, and the protections that are supposed to keep players safe. It exists to answer one kind of question clearly: who is allowed to gamble, where, on what, and what happens when the rules are broken.

What we do

We explain gambling regulation in plain language and back every legal claim with the statute or regulator behind it, dated so you can see how current it is. Where the rules differ between a sports book, a casino, and a lottery — and they often do — we say so.

What we will not do

We do not promote gambling. There are no operator links anywhere on this site — not to licensed books, not to offshore ones, not to anything dressed up as “informational.” We carry no bonuses, no sign-up offers, no odds, no tips, no picks, and no gambling advertising. When we describe offshore or unlicensed sites, we describe the risk of using them; we never route you to them.

Who this is for

Anyone trying to understand the rules: a person checking whether they are old enough, a parent, a student researching policy, a journalist, or someone looking for the recourse they have after something went wrong. If you need help with gambling, our help page lists free, confidential support and self-exclusion registers — with no advertising attached.

Independence

We take no money from gambling operators and hold no affiliate relationships with them. That independence is the point: it is what lets us describe the offshore option honestly instead of selling it.
